Notes: In memory of Richard Esposito and others that have been killed or injured in cycling accidents, his family and the Byron Park District, will be sponsoring the Second Annual Ride of Silence on Wednesday, May 17, 2017. The ride will begin at Blackhawk Park in Byron, off Mill Road, and follow the bike path most of the way to the Byron Forest Preserve and loop back to Blackhawk Park. The ride is free and riders will need to wear helmets. Kids are welcome!! Check-in will start at 6:00 pm and the ride will begin promptly at 7:00. Pre-registration is not required for this event.
